Consciousness, our awareness, is in fact a most intimate and practical feature of human existence. Our consciousness determines the way we think and feel. It affects how we see and experience ourselves, others, and our world. Found within consciousness is our ability to pause, to breathe for a moment, and to observe exactly what is actually happening right now within and around us. Consciousness can enable us to drop judgment and really perceive the is-ness of a given situation. At its best, our consciousness expands from illusory or compulsory thinking to perceiving reality as it truly is, undistorted and inclusive of everyone and everything.
Many personal and societal problems are the result of consciousness being unnaturally restricted. When consciousness is imprisoned in past experiences it holds us in a narrow space of unchecked mind-sets, automatic judgments, and blind, fear-ridden convictions. These distortions about "Me" and "Our Group" as opposed to the many "Others" and "Other Groups" create chaos and mayhem. Consciousness confined in these outdated distorted attitudes causes mental and physical illness. This way of thinking and reacting creates conflict within families, and among communities and nations. This ultimately results in the acute global challenges we face today.
Systemic Constellation work frees our consciousnesses from their personal and collective limitations. Properly done this work allows accurate consciousness its natural flow of generosity, inclusion and grace. Systemic constellation work produces concrete results by transforming pain, sorrow and conflict into opportunity and creativity previously unimaginable.
The various seminars will address personal and family issues, as well as questions pertinent to organizations and the political arena (from the grassroots level, to NGOs and political parties). The main character of constellation work is practical and experiential. Dr. Mahr will include in-depth theoretical explanations of how this can be. Theme-related practical exercises will involve all participants in immediate experiences of emerging consciousness.
